Why is meditation such a powerful practice?
Do you feel like there are patterns in your life that are blocking you and that it’s very challenging to change them?
With meditation, we can dissolve the narrative that was programmed into us and replace it with a healthier narrative, allowing us to integrate tangible changes. We can access those constructs implanted in our subconscious since childhood, deconstruct them, and thus allow ourselves to move forward. Think of it like this: when you were a child, your neuronal connections were forming based on your life experiences, both positive and negative, such as trauma. As a result, your trauma is encoded in your neuro pathways. This is why childhood trauma is so complex and challenging to heal, but it is possible. With a consistent practice, you can rebuild those neural connections and rewrite your story with more self-confidence, compassion and wisdom.
It is not pseudoscience; it’s proven science, backed by numerous studies:
The brain operates at different brainwave frequencies, depending on the state of consciousness you’re in:
Beta (13-30 Hz) → Alert state, active thinking.
Alpha (8-12 Hz) → Light relaxation, bridge between conscious and subconscious.
Theta (4-8 Hz) → Deep relaxation, creativity, intuition, access to the subconscious.
Delta (0.5-4 Hz) → Deep sleep, regeneration.
Theta waves are typically activated in deep meditation states, hypnosis, or just before sleep (hypnagogic state). In this state, the mind is more receptive to suggestions, belief reprogramming, and access to memories stored in the subconscious.
Science has shown that in the Theta state:
Neuroplasticity is facilitated → It becomes easier to change thought and behavior patterns.
Access to deep memories → Helps in introspection and emotional healing.
Increases creativity and intuition → Many innovative ideas and solutions arise in this state.
Accelerates learning → Studies have shown that people in Theta states learn more quickly and retain information better.
Therefore, meditation doesn’t just relax the mind—it provides direct access to the subconscious, allowing us to shift our mindset, behaviours, and make real transformations in our lives.
